Уровень 195 is a forest-like ecosystem similar to ones on Earth, with the exception that all objects in Level 195 are made of Transition and Post-Transition Metals.

Level 195 is of unknown size, with temperatures fluctuating between 23°C to 17°C (75°F to 62°F). A day-night cycle exists on this level, with a full cycle taking 38 hours to complete. There is what appears to be a sun during the day but a lack of stars or a moon at night. During the day, the sky has a hazy, grey appearance with little to no cloud cover. Humidity is extremely low due to the lack of water throughout the level. The only form of weather is the precipitation of Mercury.
The geology, fauna, and flora bare a striking resemblance to Earth forests. All native objects are comprised of metal, with the most common metals being Aluminum, Nickel, Titanium, Silver, and Tungsten. All Transition and Post-Transition Metals can be found with the exception of Technetium (Tc) and Polonium (Po). The two exceptions are both radioactive and have no stable isotopes.
Although plants appear to grow and develop over time, the resulting ecosystems are all comprised of metal. Animals native to forest biomes are also present, comprised of various metals matching their traditional counterparts. The internal structures of organisms are present and typically made of softer metals such as Gold, Copper, and Gallium. Trees are made of tougher materials towards the center of the trunk with the roots being the softest. The roots absorb Mercury found within the ground.
Mining into the surface reveals various patches comprised of different materials. Metals do not appear to oxidize with the air, preventing Iron and Copper from rusting. Geode-like structures are common underground, revealing rarer metals on the inside such as Iridium, Osmium, Rhodium, and Palladium. Veins of rare-earth metals are also found deep underground, with Yttrium being the most abundant in said veins.

Water does not exist within this level, and is instead replaced with Mercury in relevant locations such as rivers or lakes. Mercury is a liquid at the temperatures in Level The air is extremely toxic with heavy metal particles, which can cause a variety of health problems such as vomiting, nausea, fatigue, irritability, memory loss, and more. Metals traditionally toxic to humans still react as expected in the body. It is heavily advised to avoid any bodies of liquid Mercury as prolonged contact with skin is dangerous to one's health.
Level 195 is inhabitable to most forms of life, but this can be remedied with the importing of food and water. It is advised to wear protective clothing and a breathing filter while within the level.

Established shortly after the discovery of Level 195, Forge of Plutus was the first permanently inhabited site within the level. A greenhouse was produced by importing soil and crops. Water was conserved and recycled with occasional drop-offs of supplies until a long-term solution could be found.
Forge of Plutus lasted for approximately one year producing various weaponry, armor, and tools for the M.E.G. At the time, the toxins within the air of Level 195 were not discovered. Within the first six months of operation, over 40 inhabitants began to suffer health complications. Damage to the respiratory , nervous, and cardiovascular systems were reported. These findings are consistent with various poisoning from heavy metals, particularly Lead and evaporated Mercury vapors.
Proper environment testing was not conducted, most likely from the rapid assembly of the site to exploit the valuable resources of Level 195.
Production halted shortly after 10 months of activity. The exit within Level 195 changes on a set rotation, which was unknown at the time. Within 1 year, 74 out of the original 103 inhabitants were dead or severely ill. The remaining settlers found the new exit on Day 379, with only 29 survivors surviving the expedition.
An exploration log detailing the remains of Forge of Plutus is attached. The exploration occurred several months after the evacuation of the site.

Lazarus: Power is down.
Skye: Well no shit, the base has been dead for a while now.[Sound of flashlights clicking]
Skye: How did it everything fall apart like this? There's no storms or anything to cause this damage.
Lazarus: Let's head down here. I think this leads to the central room.[Upon entering, 5 bodies are found on the floor.]
Skye: We need to get these bodies recovered. I think they'll do that once the new forge is up and running.
Lazarus: I hope so.
Skye: The archival room is down that corridor. Let's head there first before anywhere else.[Door opening, entering room.]
Skye: Start looking for any health records.
[File cabinets opening and closing.]
Lazarus: Found some. I think they're rec—
Skye: Give me it.[Medical records being flipped though.]
Skye: Yeah, this is what we needed. We need to keep exploring for anything else.
Lazarus: Didn't the survivors take most of the important stuff with them?
Skye: Equipment, yeah, they did. But not the files.
Lazarus: Skye… I think I found something.[Lazarus holds up a piece of notebook paper with writing.]

Everyone is sick. I'm trying my best to help them but there's nothing I can do this late.
Alex just died, now I have nobody left. Everyone I cared about here is dead or about to be.
Clark is leading a search to find the exit with our remaining filter masks.
We packed up everything just in case we can make it out of here.
Being the medic here had one redeeming quality, I wasn't outside very much.
I didn't come into contact with nearly as much dust as most other people.

Lazarus: I noticed some of the outside looked like that when we walked in.
Skye: You think some wildlife did this?
Lazarus: I doubt it. There's no hostile entities here.[Lazarus pokes a crack in the wall with a rod, two insect-like organisms crawl out.]
Lazarus: What the—
Skye: Get back! We've never seen this before!
Lazarus: They don't seem… hostile. We could try to get a specimen.
Skye: Fine. We'll take it back to base and see what they think.[Lazarus rummages though his bag, taking out a clear container. He captures the insect and puts a metal stopper over the container.]
Lazarus: There. It looks like it made of a few different metals.
[Skye walks up and zooms in on the bug.]
Skye: What is it doing to the lid?
[The insect is scraping the metal, appearing to eat shreds of it.]
Lazarus: I think it eats metal. Reminds me of termites from back home.
Skye: Well put it in a bag so it doesn't escape through the lid.[CUT TO OUTSIDE FORGE OF PLUTUS]
Lazarus: Got everything?
Skye: Yeah, let's go.
Lazarus: Well turn off the cam, we don't need to waste battery.

After the exploration of Forge of Plutus, the collected insect sample was put under observation. This species of insects are a level-exclusive entity to Level 195.

Metalmites are a species native to Level 195. These entities closely resemble termites from normal reality. Their exoskeletons range in material, with most being comprised of Aluminum, Titanium, Platinum, and Vanadium. The legs, mandibles, eyes, and antennae are always made of Copper. Internal anatomy is consistent with other organisms within Level 195, with traditional organ structures replaced with metallic counterparts.
Their behaviors parallel termites as well. Instead of consuming and burrowing through wood, they instead harvest metal. Though preferring to live in the trees of Level 195, they are known to burrow into manmade metallic structures. Just like other insects, they produce offspring through eggs. One notable difference however is the offspring are made of whatever metal the mother ate before laying the eggs. This is especially useful to keep track of Metalmite populations after an infestation.
Metalmites typically live up to 2 years. They are very heat sensitive, avoiding areas with temperatures exceeding 32°C (90°F). This can be used to prevent Metalmite infestations as traditional insect repellent is not effective. These insects are easily containable in non-metal housing and provided with occasional shrapnel as food.
A possible application for Metalmites is for structural attacks. Metalmites could be released into enemy infrastructure to feed on metal supports. They could also be used to dispose of weaponry.

After the failure of Forge of Plutus, Forge Novus was constructed with proper safety systems in place. Air filters were installed along with airlock door systems to reduce exposure to toxic dust. Exit locations and timing were fully calculated to allow easy entry and exit of people and supplies. Forge Novus is approximately 35km from Forge of Plutus. Essential components and materials were recycled from the previous base to construct the current one.
Forge Novus currently has 164 inhabitants. Health issues due to heavy metal have been minimal. Water shipments occur on a bi-weekly schedule.
Forge Novus has also been installed with a laboratory to further investigate the ecosystem of Level 195. Plans to expand the mining and research of Level 195 is currently undergoing review.
